It seems that IKEA have had their eyes on Greenwich Peninsula for a while. They are now proposing to submit a planning application for redevelopment of the the current Sainsbury’s/Comet site in preparation for when the site will be vacated when Sainsburys move to their new store near Asda.

Saturday 9 November 2013 12.00pm – 7.00pm at Sherard Hall, The Forum @ Greenwich, Trafalgar Road, London, SE10 9EQ.
Representatives from the project team will be at the exhibition to explain the proposal and answer any questions.
For those unable to come on 9 November, the exhibition – unstaffed – will be available to view at East Greenwich Library, 203-207 Woolwich Road, London SE10 0RL between Monday 11 November and Saturday 23 November
