The Charlton and Blackheath Amateur Horticultural Society are holding a plant sale this Sunday in the walled gardens of Charlton House.

The event will open at 11am and go on until 3pm (or until they sell out of plants).

The weather forecast is good, so please bring a picnic and chair/rug and have a socially distanced chat in the gardens. There will be displays about the history of the garden and the exciting plans for it’s regeneration for 2020, and there will be Volunteers on hand to answer questions.

CABAHS have been very lucky to secure a grant of £6,000 from the Greenwich Neighbourhood Growth Fund and are looking forward to making this lovely garden really special again.

Please enter through the Old Pond Garden iron gates (at the top end of the Long Garden). They will have signs up, you won’t miss it! Please maintain the usual 2m social distancing at all times, there will be markers around the plant tables. Facemasks are optional but recommended and a good idea to have one handy in case you cannot keep the 2m distance.

Payment needs to be exact cash only please, and they would be grateful if you can bring your own carrier bags.

There will be a range of Salvias, Penstemon, Geranium, Primulas and many other herbaceous perennials for sales.
