When the Royal Borough of Greenwich suddenly announced that they were introducing charges for traders to use the forecourt outside their premises there was much outrage especially amoung small businesses struggling to survive in difficult economic times.
The Royal Borough are now belatedly seeking your view as part of their consultation on the RBG street trading policy which aims to regulate the use of pavement space for businesses using the highway to display their goods or to seat their customers. The consultation aims to achieve a street trading policy and licence fee level that meet the needs of businesses, residents and pavement users. Further information can be found on the RBG website and the consultation can be completed on line. The consultation is open until 21 March. Have your say.
