For many years the Royal Borough of Greenwich and the London Borough of Lewisham shared the costs of the annual Blackheath Firework Display.  However a couple of years ago Greenwich pulled out and since then Lewisham have picked up the cost of the Fireworks.  Although Greenwich still pay for policing and litter clearing etc on their side of the heath is it fair that Lewisham Borough should be out of pocket every year when thousands of Greenwich residents also benefit from the Fireworks.  Councillor John Fahy has set up a survey on his blog to ask Greenwich residents what they think.
