The flyer for the Charlton House Plant Sale and Community Day is available by clicking the link.
It should be well worth visiting both for the plant sale alone all the other things going on. There will be a children’s Discovery Trail around the grounds, House Tours with a WW1 theme, Greenwich Music School will have instruments to try out, Charlton Toy Library will be making flower crowns, part of the Greenwich Archive is on display, there are Art installations in the Old Library, and tours of the Old Pond Garden with Head Gardener Jason at 1 and 3pm.
The Producer Market will be on the Front Lawn and Frilly’s café will be open.
Plants sold in aid of Greenwich Community Hospice, CABAHS and the walled gardens revival.
Lovely to talk to Jason for quite a while while we disturbed from his weeding – feel like making a donation to help with the walled garden particularly as he gave us a small cutting of the green version of Ophiopogon Nigrescens. Thank you Jason and we wish you every success, from the couple ‘near Hornimans’
