Nimby had proposed to run the OnBlackheath Event in September 2013 on the same weekend as Run to the Beat. Their application was discussed at a special meeting of the BJWP (Blackheath Joint Working Party) where a number of questions were raised in particular with regard to noise and protection of the fabric of Blackheath. Shortly after this meeting Nimby withdrew the application. They have a licence in perpetuity granted by Lewisham Council but have to apply for use of Blackheath for every event which involves satisfying a number of Event criteria drawn up by the BJWP. They also have to satisfy safety bodies and the Police. Whether they will apply to hold an event next year remains to be seen.
No ‘OnBlackheath’ Event in 2013
