We have heard today that the West Greenwich Low Traffic Neighbourhood is to be scrapped.  More information is available on 853 and the Royal Greenwich website

This follows a consultation on the West Greenwich Low Traffic Neighbourhood that closed last week and also follows the recent decision not to progress the Westcombe Park LTN.  The Consultation on the Westcombe Park and Maze Hill Area Low Traffic Neighbourhood was early last year.   Cabinet Member for Environment, Sustainability & Transport, Sarah Merrill is the Councillor responsible for both decisions.

As we understand it there is still the intention to continue the monitoring of traffic levels in the area and to explore the scope for more appropriate traffic calming measures on Maze Hill, Vanbrugh Hill and Westcombe Hill.

There were thousands of responses to the Westcombe Park LTN consultation – read more in the Officers report on Westcombe Park and Maze Hill Area Low Traffic Neighbourhood proposal

There is also an article about the decision on 853
